With a career spanning writing, directing, acting and producing, Lena Dunham’s work resonates across genres with her distinct and recognisable style. With credits including HBO’s hit series Girls (2012-2017), and feature films Catherine Called Birdy and Sharp Stick (2022).

This event is closed for new bookings.

Starring in and serving as executive producer, writer, and director for HBO’s hit series Girls, which wrapped after six critically acclaimed seasons, Dunham has been nominated for eight Emmy Awards and has won two Golden Globes.

An accomplished author, Lena is also a frequent contributor to The New Yorker, Vogue and The New York Times. Her company Good Thing Going (GTG) has a full slate of projects across film, television, theatre and podcasting. She currently hosts the podcast The C Word alongside Alissa Bennett which offers a historical deep-dive into the life and media coverage of a woman deemed “crazy” by society, unpacking the lives of these women with empathy and humour.

Dunham released two feature films in 2022, Catherine Called Birdy, a medieval coming-of-age comedy she wrote and directed for Amazon and Working Title, and Sharp Stick, which boasted almost exclusively female department heads. In addition to Dunham’s own work, GTG is devoted to developing artist-led film and television, work fuelled by singular visions and impossible to deny unique perspectives.
